Washington, DC – FCC Chairman Kevin Martin today announced a nationwide initiative to increase awareness about the upcoming transition to digital television. The FCC identified target television markets for specific DTV outreach, including all those markets in which more than 100,000 households or at least 15% of the households rely solely on over-the-air signals for television. | The Digital Stream DSP7700T Converter, receives digital broadcast signals and converts them to analog, for analog tuner TV sets. This means you will be able continue to use your old TV after the U. S. government mandate in 2009 or capture digital signals on your new TV with this digital to analog converter. This model is one of two within the Digtial Steam DSP line. The DSP 7700t is the upgraded model, offering many of the standard features that you would expect to see on most DTV converters while also including Analog Pass Through. As of May 2008, 94% of all analog broadcast television stations also broadcast in digital. So to receive the 6% of the stations which have not converted over to digital you will need a receiver with Analog Pass Through.
