This Panasonic TC-P50G25 is a great television, especially in hd. I could not be more pleased with the color, sharpness, deep blacks, brightness and even, despite some of the comments to the contrary, the sound (and I am a perfectionist and have dealt with computers, photography, videography, sound and electronics as a serious hobby for many years). I am extremely glad I made this purchase. The only negative comment I might have would be that standard definition material (satellite broadcast) now looks so awful (even on this TV) compared with the beautiful high definition displayed by this unit. Surprisingly, non-broadcast standard def video (camcorder/VCR) doesn’t look too bad! The TV’s stand is very sturdy and functional, and the many input/output options are welcome. DSLR camera pictures look awesome when viewed from the SD card slot on the TV!

This is my 1st Panasonic purchase. I use to be strictly a Sony guy. After my 60inch Tv engine filter went out, Sony sent me a new 46″ Bravia Led/Lcd. Beautiful Tv but needed something bigger! Sold that one a went shopping for a plasma and this was the best and smartest purchase I have made! Not only did I get a 4″ bigger tv but also saved my self 300 dollars by using Amazon! This Tv has it all. Was looking at the S2 but I was sold on all the extras the G series had! The infinte black is awesome with darks and blacks, the THX option is my favorite setting. The extra options such as Skype,Netflix,Pandora I will use in the near future for sure! Set up my brothers Ps3 for the Blu-Ray and watched Avatar on this Tv, and it satisfied my expectations! Alot of people bash on the speakers on Panasonic but I seem to not have any problems! There is a surround mode in the sound settings and changed the settings to a bass boost and 20 to 27 is loud enough. Awesomwe Tv for a great price.
