| The LN55A950 is Samsung’s top of the line LCD television and features a 1080p resolution with lots of features 55 inches of viewable image. The color accuracy of the A950 rivals that of plasma televisions and offers a picture quality that maybe the best of all LCD HDTVs on the market. The Series 9 model includes pre-loaded a high definition library of content, such as fitness instruction, recipes, children’s educational games and stories, and a photo gallery. Plus, you can download more content from Samsung’s online content library on to a USB memory device. The InfoLink RSS feature of the Samsung LN55A950 LCD HDTV lets you display news, sports, weather, stocks and more with just a push of a button. This requires an inherent connection to the included Ethernet port or an optional USB WiFi Dongle to access a wireless network. You can play back MPEG videos, photos, and music from your external devices by connecting to the Wiselink USB 2.0. The Series 9 advanced connectivity and networking abilities gives you an LCD high definition media center. The Series 9 LN55A950 includes a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio with an LED back light. The LED back light has a local dimming feature senses the TV signal and adjusts the brightness level or even individually turns off the LED’s which enhance the details and provide excellent black levels. Most black-lit LCD television’s have compact florescent lights which are always on. Auto Motion Plus 120Hz™ technology of the Series 9 calculates and inserts a “tween” image between the frames which helps eliminate motion blur. This results in a smoother clearer picture, especially for fast action movies and sports programming. With Samsung’s motion and de-judder technologies the LN46A950 and LN55A950 televisions perform as well as some of the top plasma HDTV’s. Samsung has a new polished menu menu system for the A950 series with easy to read text. Getting around the menu is quick and easy with the enhanced back-lit remote which automatically lights when you pick it up. It has one of the best looking menus on any television. It also includes a product guide which explains all of the new features. Overall, the Samsung LN46A950 and Samsung LN55A950 picture quality of the are as good as some of the top plasma HDTVs. Even though they have add several new features to enhance your viewing experience, the picture is what make the Series 9 one of the best high definition televisions on the market. |

I’ve had this for a month now. I also bought the Samsung BD-P1500 with it. I love both units. I connected them to my Sony HT-CT100 soundbar and I am perfectly happy with the sound. Yes, I know the soundbar does not do HD sound,etc,.. but I don’t care because the soundbar is quite slick with the TV. Plus, it does what I want it to do so no complaint.
As for the TV. The picture is so crisp and clear and the black level really black that it took a while to get used to watching it. I have a DirecTV HD DVR attached to it too via HDMI and it is an entirely different level of watching TV. The images look so “real” as my daughter said. I know the TV can do a lot of other things if you attach it to the internet. But, I bought it really for just watching HD TV and movies. So, I was/am not that concern about its other functions. Right now, DirecTV just upgraded my DVR to 1080p, so I can’t wait to see any program or shows in 1080p. But the 1080i resolution is great as it is. So, no complaint in there either. |

| If you are looking for a TV that out performs all others this is the TV for you. Its contrast and Pixel ration out score the competition with ease. Some may wonder if its better than the Sony Bravia, well It is. This TV accompanied with a Blu-ray player make movie watching like watching them film the movie. Jump into action with the real life picture and all around viewing angle. The blacks are jet black and the whites are vivid and crisp. The high motion blur feature makes motion blur a thing of the past. Full loaded and ready for action right out of the box. Set up is simple and understandable. The famous phrase, you pay for what you get is so true. The price may be on the high side but its worth every penny. Other TV’s that are much cheaper are exactly that….CHEAP! You cant find the features that this TV has for any less. I would highly recommend this product. Five Stars! | |

Pros: i had a 52″ samsung 650, this 950 blows it away,i have a dennon blueray connected , best picture i have seen. very little adjustments needed. outstanding watching football in hd.
Cons: price will be to high if you do not shop on line. |
