I have the 40″ XBR5 and while I am knocked out by the actual picture, I’m not so happy with the panel and or construction. I’ve had my set for over a week now and am experiencing a “flashlighting” effect in the top corners. This only is evident when a black screen is present and the room is dark. If there is a night scene or on black side-bars the set has a glow that extends five or six inches diagonally down the screen. |

After six weeks of using this TV I still love to see our friends reactions when I fire this TV up – there is simply no other TV that maximizes the HD picture quality like this TV does. This is our second Sony XBR LCD TV purchase in two years and we love it even more than the last one. If you are looking for quality don’t even think of another model. |
